Getting started with the FX Elements Subscription
Activate your subscription
The FX Elements Subscription is available for individuals, companies, and educational facilities. Prices are available on the pricing page and via a link on each product page; prices are determined based on two factors, the File Type chosen and the appropriate License Type.
CHOOSE A LICENSE TYPE
The License Type is dependent on your annual revenue as a company or an individual. If you are a freelancer, it will depend on your personal income; however, if you are an employee of a facility or company – even if you are the only intended user – you must choose the license based on your company’s revenue.
CHOOSE A FILE TYPE
The File Type option is your choice based on your workflow needs, 4k ProRes files are the cheapest solution, and RAW files up to 8K (which also includes 4k ProRes and 4k EXR) is the option that offers the most flexibility.
Adding downloads to your account:
Adding downloads to your account is simple. You just go through the normal checkout process, but you will not be asked for payment. 🙂
LICENSE TYPE = DOWNLOAD AMOUNT
Each subscription option has a specific number of daily clips associated. You can see this allocation number during the License Type selection process.
Note:
Actually, this is not a limit on the number of downloads per day. Technically, you can download your files as many times as needed (within reason), but rather this is a limit on the number of clips that can be added to your account on a daily basis. We just call it “downloads per day” for simplicity.
Credit allotment
Once you have selected and purchased your subscription, you will be allocated your daily credit, which allows for the number of clips that you add to your account. You can see your available credit next to the cart icon in the upper right corner of the page.
Note:
Your credit allotment is a daily allotment. It does not accumulate or rollover. This limit is necessary to keep our site functioning and accessible for everyone.
New Credits:
New credits are assigned to your account at roughly the same time you completed the initial checkout.
For example, if you purchased your subscription at 5:05 PM you can expect to have new credits in your account each and every day at about 5:00 PM. The exact time can vary by a 15-30 minutes.
ADD ITEMS TO YOUR CART
To begin adding clips to your account, simply use the add to cart form either on the product page or via the icon in the bottom right of the small product preview.
COMPLETE CHECKOUT
Once you have added something to your cart, you can “Complete Order” with a single click, and the downloads will magically appear in your account.
You can do as many orders as needed; the only limitation is the number of total clips added to your account on a daily basis. In other words, if your download limit is 20, you could do one checkout with exactly 20 items in your cart or 2 or more checkouts with less than 20 items as long as the daily total does not exceed 20.
